Google is selling a rechargeable indoor/outsider battery-based outdoor meter with a range of up to 10 feet.
The box will sell for $99.99 when it goes on sale on June 3.
The product description reads, “A rechargeable meter with two-way, three-axis battery, which can recharge itself at up to 20 mph and run on a battery pack that can be used to recharge all types of household appliances.
Also, it can be run with a power bank.”
It’s not clear if the rechargeable batteries will work in the same way as the rechargeables found in rechargeable electric vehicles.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Google’s indoor/Outdoor Meter Box is not the only battery-less outdoor product on the market.
You can also buy a $2,500 outdoor battery-only outdoor meter, or a $3,500 battery-free, battery-sustaining, and/or power bank outdoor meter.
The battery-backed indoor/snow meter is also a $999.99 product.
